This is a dissertation that discusses objective and subjective approaches in design, derived from different branches of philosophical teaching.

Here we have an apple.
I’ve invited an audience of 10: some young, some old; a general mix of people with different hobbies and expertise. I ask my audience to surround the apple in a circle and take one picture each of the fruit.
I then thank my audience and collect their photographs.
After the audience leave, it is my turn to take a photograph of the apple. I find an angle that I like: a perfect shot where the apple looks glowing red. I click the shutter.
Now for the question:
Which best represents the apple?
