This project is part of a 2-part project that explores objective and subjective approaches in design under the context of ‘the journey home’.

For some students, going home is a tedious journey—long and tiring, whether it be to our immediate residence in London or somewhere further away.
In order to deepen my understanding on what ‘the journey’ to home was, I followed 5 participants to their current place of residence.
The proximity to my participants on their way allowed me to observe in detail the physical and emotional changes that occur as one embarks on the journey home, and the conversations I engaged my participants in provided an insight into how they experienced and felt about their journey.
